LYD’s Back To School Bash

Now that school is letting out for the summer, it’s time for organizations like ours to focus on one thing….back to school! Until the end of July, the Charity of the Month will be dedicated to the most precious of all, the kids. At the beginning of August, L.Y.D. will host our inaugural back to school event. This event will feature food, music, a free raffle and a backpack giveaway filled with supplies to have our children ready for day one of the 2022-2023 school year.

We want to be able to help as many children as we can, so that’s where the pledges and donations come into play. Every dollar donated and pledged to Running for Something until the end of July will directly benefit our back to school efforts. While we are actively seeking out donations from a few corporate sponsors, the lion share of our donations come from individuals like you who are gracious enough to help L.Y.D. out, no amount is too small and no amount of sharing this effort goes unappreciated.

We are hoping to start this annual tradition off strong, more details will be released as the summer progresses, but we look forward to seeing you and all of your school-aged children August 7th at 6033 South Cottage Grove, Chicago, IL.
